This publication was created with the aim of offering an overview, as reliable and serious as possible, of young artists working in Italy. The selection work was carried out with a scientific approach by interviewing hundreds of operators in the sector. Contemporary art galleries in the lead, of which Italy today can boast peaks of excellence, even of international standing. And who have always been among the most attentive and far-sighted talent scouts. But during the eight months of work, many curators, critics, foundations and specialised journalists were also consulted, whose preferences were cross-referenced to then draw up the final list of emerging artists on whom to focus. It was a long and capillary work that in the end gives us, and delivers to the market, an essential tool for the evaluation of investments in the ‘emerging’ segment of contemporary art. Investment to be understood, first and foremost, as cultural. The book is, in fact, a map of talents in today's various artistic languages (sound art, painting, sculpture, performance, installations, video art, photography, genetic art, laser art, techno-ecological art, etc.).
