The catalogue, published on the occasion of the homonymous exhibition in Triennale Milano as part of the celebrations of the centenary of the institution, presents the work of 120 of the most interesting Italian artists of different generations, born between the sixties and the two thousand, including Nazzarena Poli Maramotti and Michele Tocca.
Thei aim of the exhibition is to highlight the richness and complexity of contemporary Italian painting in all its forms and facets, through works created between 2020 and 2023.
The volume contains a wide range of critical historical contributions - from a historical excursus on painting in Italy from 1959 to 1979 to the history of the presence of mural painting in the Triennale, to in-depth essays on the contemporary painting scene - signed by some of the most important international critics and curators as well as descriptive sheets of the individual works accompanied by their images.
