This volume brings together the works of more than fifty Italian women artists who, in different historical and social contexts, have narrated their own way of inhabiting the world. Conceived as an open inquiry into the present, the project Io dico Io - I say I intercepts some fundamental questions that have crossed and cross contemporary feminisms today: it draws alliances and affinities, weaves correspondences and symbolic relations, and creates intergenerational dialogues regardless of chronologies.
