FABRIZIO PREVEDELLO

Chanukkah, the lamps of the Festival of Lights

We are pleased to share the participation of Fabrizio Prevedello at the exhibition "Chanukkah, Leuchter des lichterfestes", namely "Chanukkah, the lamps of the Festival of Lights".

The exhibition is edited by the Tiroler Landesmuseen in Innsbruck and contains 32 works from the Museum of Lights in Casale Monferrato.
The exhibition will be held at the Ferdinandeum, a palace erected in 1823 to house the artistic collections of Tyrol, but it will also have a lure in the new synagogue of the city inaugurated in 1993 in the same space as that destroyed by the Nazis after the Anschluss, whose prayer room houses a silver Chanukkiah tribute of the Catholic bishop Reinhold Stecher.
The exhibition is the brainchild of Peter Assmann, former director of the Museum Complex of the Ducal Palace of Mantua, an honorary citizen of Casale and now the director of the Tiroler Landesmuseen, that wanted to involve the Jewish community of Monferrato in a project that combines the lamps also other exhibitions dedicated to the upcoming holidays.
The choice sees a selection of the most significant lamps received at the Museum.
The artists chosen are: Elio Carmi, Antonio Recalcati, Aldo Mondino, Arman, Georges Jeanclos, Guy De Rougemont, Roberto Barni, Roland Topor, Marco Porta, Johanan Vitta, Mimmo Paladino, Stefano Della Porta, Marco Lodola, Jessica Rosalind Carrol, Silla Ferradini, Giosetta Fioroni, Tiziana Fusari, Franco Gervasio, Alì Hassoun, Paul Renner, David Gerstein, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Roger Selden, Marco Zanuso Jr, Giorgio Laveri, David Palterer, Gianluigi Colin, Aurelio Amendola, Dario Canova, Gabriele Levy, Elena Caterina Doria, Fabrizio Prevedello.
