SILVIA CAMPORESI & MARTA ROBERTI | ACQUISIZIONI. DA PARMIGIANINO A KENTRIDGE

We are proud to announce the partecipation of Silvia Camporesi and Marta Roberti in the exhibition Acquisizioni. Da Parmigianino a Kentridge, curated by Maura Picciau in the Istituto Centrale per la Grafica in Rome.

 

The exhibition, in the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Central Institute for Graphics - born in 1975 by the union of the National Printing Press, of papal inheritance, and the National Cabinet of Prints - aims to show the public the works of art recently entered into the collections of the Institute.
On display are about 60 works that cover over 500 years of art history, including drawings, dies and engravings, photographs, videos and artist’s books, a wide panorama between ancient and modern that testifies the will of the Institute to enhance its collections to return them to the community.
The acquisitions, carried out by the Institute through the Ministry of Culture’s 2021-2024 purchasing plan, have been carried out in different ways: compulsory purchases, which arise from the arrest at export of the works, negotiated purchases, Following proposals from private individuals or galleries and passed through the screening of special ministerial commissions and acquisitions following public calls for tenders by the ministry, as well as with direct commissioning to artists.
