We are pleased to announce that z2o Project has been invited by Centrul de Interes to participate in the photography section, named Focus. In this context, we have chosen to present Chiara Bettazzi's exhibition Rəcap, originally showcased in our spaces from April 23rd to May 31st.
The exhibition aims to provide a summary of the artist’s artistic journey, presenting a selection of cycles of photographic works produced between 2019 and 2023. Contrary to being a mere reflection of what has been, Rəcap aims to capture the present moment through a reworking of the past, faithfully reflecting the artist’s contemporary approach to the photographic medium. Rather than being a recollection of the past, this exhibition is configured as an istant of memory, a testimony of an installative moment.
Rəcap stands out for the variety of photographic formats proposed, giving life to new collages, diptychs, and triptychs never experimented before, evoking the ancient tradition of altarpieces, increasingly approaching the genre of still life. The photographs are reinvented and combined in new ways, recalling the artist’s approach, which, in her working practice, is dedicated to the recovery and reinterpretation of objects and installations.
