FABRIZIO PREVEDELLO | OFFICINA MALANOTTE

Curated by Daniele Capra | tenuta Bonotto delle Tezze, Tezze di Piave, Vazzola (TV)
We are delighted to share the partecipation of Fabrizio Prevedello in the project Officina Malanotte curated by Daniele Capra.

Bonotto delle Tezze Estate is pleased to present the third edition of Officina Malanotte, an initiative that merges contemporary art, enological research, and cultural revitalization of the region in the heart of the Treviso countryside, in Tezze di Piave. This event encompasses an artist residency, an exhibition, and public meetings.
From May 20th to June 7th 2024, four artists – Paolo Pretolani, Fabrizio Prevedello, Eleonora Rinaldi and Giorgia Severi – will utilize the estate's facilities as a space for creative production and a starting point for establishing artistic and human connections with local activities and the community of Marca Trevigiana, in harmony with the surrounding territory.

Officina Malanotte is a laboratory established to integrate the dynamics of the territory, the culture of wine, and history with the experimental and cross-disciplinary capabilities inherent in contemporary artistic language.

The name of the project combines the concept of a forge, industriousness, and labor with the toponym of Borgo Malanotte, the ancient nucleus of Tezze di Piave, which also lends its name to Malanotte del Piave DOCG.

In the works of Fabrizio Prevedello (Padua, 1972), marble remnants, metal, stone, and concrete are freely alternated. His practice, essentially sculptural in nature, stems from an interest in the elements of the mountainous landscape, both natural and anthropized. In particular, the orography of mountain ranges, the forest, as well as quarries and the various structures through which humans interact with the mountains, are the starting points for works in which nature and human-made artifacts stand side by side. He has exhibited at Palazzo Fortuny, Venice; Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato; Museo Nazionale della Montagna, Turin; Ferdinandeum, Innsbruck; Camec, La Spezia; Barriera, Turin; Rome; Cardelli & Fontana, Sarzana and z2o Sara Zanin.
