The title You Got to Burn to Shine (borrowed to shine) borrowed from the famous collection of poems by the American poet, artist and performer John Giorno, underlines the complexity of the individual in being in the world and, in parallel, propitiates his construction as a subject. The exhibition, curated by Teresa Macrì, has the ambition to narrate, through a game of references and connections, the discrepancies and processes of redefinition of the world-system and its aesthetic interpretation in the post-ideological era. You Got to Burn to Shine also intends to analyze how the work, within the display of art, can express critical thinking and represent new mental geographies both individual and collective.
